Rawalpindi is located in the north of Pakistan and it is largest city of Pakistan with vast population that is spreading day by day. There was dire need of autonomous board there that should control educational system in the region therefore it was formed in the year 1977 this was named as board of intermediate and secondary education. Rawalpindi board was formed in October 1977 and it was formed under the Punjab board of secondary education ACT NO XIII of 1976. It was actually formed as bifurcation of Sargodha board because it was part of Sargodha board first.

Main objective of the board is to conduct examination for 5th, 8th, 9th, 10th, 11th and 12th class examination and providing certificate to students. In the year 2005 Punjab education commission was formed with a main purpose to monitor and control examination for 5th and 8th it was formed by government of Punjab. Examination for board is conducted in various languages like Urdu, English and other classical languages. With Rawalpindi board many government and private institutions are affiliated. It is policy of the board that examination is conducted in fair and honest policy.

HSSC is higher secondary school certificate that is intermediate and it consist of two parts HSSC part I is 1st year and HSSC part II is 2nd year, registration for examination start in the month of February and these forms are provided online and also posted to the affiliated colleges and schools. Subjects and groups at intermediate level become vast groups are pre medical, pre engineering, commerce, computer science, general science and arts.Examinations for part I and part II are conducted in the month of May and June and then people wait for result those are announced in the month of July and august and these are declared on the official website of the board and we will also display it on our website.
